Greene and Greene are my favorite architects. They built painfully beautiful craftsman bungalows in Pasadena in the first part of the 20th Century.

My friend Julie said after touring the Gamble House, arguably the high watermark of their design skills, "I'd never been inside a work of art before."

This lantern from the H.M. Robinson House built in 1906 is part of the very nice Arts and Crafts collection at the LACMA.
